Barbara Huntoon has been in the wholistic health arena for most of her life, as a survivor of vaccine poisoning. At the age of 7 the vaccines severely damaged her health and set her on a path of natural medicine due to her acquired chemical sensitivity reactions and severe migraines into her early 30’s. After many years of studying and applying common sense ancient herbal and nutritional knowledge, Barbara was able to de-toxify herself and regain health once again.
Originally from Quincy, Massachusetts, Barbara relocated to Florida with the vision of opening an herbal store, to share this knowledge with the community. The Herb Garden was opened in Port Richey in 1996, until relocating to Sarasota Florida in 1999. She continued her training while working at Full Spectrum Health, a nutritional clinic in Sarasota for 5 years, which was a tremendous educational apprenticeship in many modalities.
Throughout her life, she has advocated for education and common-sense solutions for the awareness of chemical sensitivity and detoxification methods for chemically sensitive and poisoned individuals.
In 2013, Barbara began developing a project called Path of Beauty Productions, focused on film, photography, music and education by preserving all the film and photography she had taken over the years. She also launched a line of topical healing and hydrotherapy products which she developed for self-treatment.
Between 2014 and 2024, Barbara assisted several women and children that were fighting abuse and needed advocacy, which she opened her home to them for shelter and opened her heart to the need for advocating for abused and trafficked women and children. It also brought into focus her own story of multigenerational abuse cycles evident in her family, which she had long ago hid deep inside.
By 2023 Barbara met Mary Labrecque at the 2023 and began learning about Mom’s for America and their mission. Mary was also working with with America’s Future, Mary Flynn O’Neil and Cathy O’Brien, who introduced her to Cathy O’Brien’s work.
In 2024, Mary and Barbara began collaborating on a project to help create a website hub for their area which developed into a model for a children’s healing ranch, inspired by Cathy and Mary’s vision to help the children. Barbara revisited a model she had developed in 2010 inspired from the Navajo “Beauty Way” traditions for a living community, based on these traditions.
In 2025,this project quickly developed into a working model as both Mary and Barbara had vivid visions and guidance to manifest the programs, design, location and potential apprenticeships and healing modalities for the children. Mary’s expertise in program development and care along with Greg’s artist’s skills and editing brilliance brought the project together and it will be shared soon!
This new project, Child Protection Collaborative of Sarasota (CPCSRQ) will serve as an information hub for all of our community projects focused on child advocacy and human trafficking eradication. In addition, organizing an event and training with ARC this coming fall in SRQ 2025 to be announced.
Barbara also has several film projects in development, and her first musical CD has been released in 2025 called “Meditations in Freedom”, dedicated to her late husband and their life together.
